The owners wanted a light filled extension with a homely finish which included a wood burning stove. Full height grey Alu-clad windows stretch to the ridge line on the gable end of the extension.

They have a traditional wooden interior which complement the stylish kitchen design and layout.

This project incorporates a reinforced concrete cantilever beam in the extension side wall. Such an inclusion provides roof support whilst doubling to act as a lintel with almost no corrosion potential. The relatively low pitched roof, tiled using mock slate incorporates increased head lap to protect against the effects of wind-driven rain.
